I liked the Palm VII, didn't like the limited memory, didn't like the antenna - all of the palm VIIs I'd seen in the field had beat-up looking saggy antennas. I was going from a 2 meg Palm Pro, and was hitting the memory wall when I bought my IIIx. I couldn't hang with paying for a new one and not getting any more chip real estate. I also didn't like the palm.net metered charges and the weird PQA apps - web clipping doesn't work for me, since I'm going to be using a wireless palm to make sure a web site is up and running. I just noticed that they have a $44.95/month unlimited plan now - I'd never go onto any kind of metered plan again. > Funny thing is that it's really a myth. I've got a nice 45 minute commute on the Oakland Ferry - the only thing I have to worry about it is getting donut goo or coffee on the screen... :) --k
